Cheng Hong is one of Virginia Commonwealth Universities newest advertising professors in the Robertsons school of mass communication. Last week my user experience class had the privilege of having Change Hong come and speak to us. She gave a presentation about UX research and design. User experience, or UX, is the consumers emotions and attitudes throughout their journey of using a product or service. I learned a lot about the strategy behind the research of UX as well as the visual and graphic design in the execution. Additionally we got to do an in class assignment using case studies, and got to practice being a consumer and a client going through the process of a users experience with a brand. From this presentation i learned how essential UX is for a company because it truly helps you understand your consumer.
